Southern Winds Equine Rescue and Recovery Center, Inc. (SWER) effective August 1,2008 has Relocated
to Cowley County Kansas which is Twenty (20) miles east of the previous location
in Wellington, Kansas. The Facility information is as follows:

The new facility has forty-seven acres of Brome grass that is totally fenced and cross-fenced which provides
 five separate pastures. Three (3) of the pastures have loafing sheds for multiple horses. There is an isolation
 loafing shed in one (1) of the pastures for new arrivals.
The main barn is adjacent to another pasture; the barn has Twelve (12) finished stalls and provisions for
expansion of Three (3) additional stalls. The barn has a feed room with storage above the feed room area.
All stalls are lighted and have fans in the summer and heated water buckets in the winter. The barn has an
automatic fly spray system for each stall.
Fixed outside automatic water fountains are accessible to all pastures/horses.
Southern Winds will continue to offer the same services as previously provided to the general public and
local Law enforcement in Cowley, Sumner, Sedgwick, Butler County and other areas when assistance is
 requested.
The basic programs for education, volunteers, adoption, sponsor a horse, rescue and recovery
will remain the same.
